Shaad Ali directed his first film under the YRF banner - SAATHIYA (2002), a love story starring Vivek Anand Oberoi and Rani Mukerji. The film was loved nationwide and that established him as a director in Hindi cinema. His second venture, a comedy - BUNTY AUR BABLI (2005) emerged a commercial success. His other films include JHOOM BARABAR JHOOM (2007) the story idea of which was also his, and KILL DIL (2014).
