After directing various TV shows and music videos, Kunal Kohli directed his first film MUJHSE DOSTI KAROGE (2002) under the YRF banner. He was also the screenplay and dialogue writer for the film. His second directorial venture was a hit rom-com HUM TUM (2004) for which he also bagged a Filmfare Award for the Best Director. He co-wrote the screenplay with Siddharth Anand for the film. He also directed Aamir Khan & Kajol in the film FANAA (2006) which enjoyed commercial success at the box-office. He later went onto direct and co-produce THODA PYAAR THODA MAGIC (2008). He was also the dialogue writer for the film.
