After a dream run at the box office and with several accolades to its credit, Yash Raj Films' Band Baaja Baaraat keeps growing from strength to strength and continues to delight and attract audiences all over the world!
The romance, fun and frolic of the Ranveer Singh – Anushka Sharma starrer, took over the 12th International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA), held in Toronto this past weekend (25 June 2011), and emerged victorious, bagging a total of six awards!
The awards include:
Best Actress – Anushka Sharma
Best Newcomer (Male) - Ranveer Singh
Best On-Screen Jodi – Ranveer Singh & Anushka Sharma
Best Editing – Namrata Rao
Best Costume Design – Niharika Khan
Best Song Recording – Vijay Dayal (Ainvayi Ainvayi...)
Band Baaja Baaraat fans will rejoice as director Maneesh Sharma is back with his team in Yash Raj Films' next fun-filled 'rom-con' - Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl. The film is planned for a 9th Dec 2011 theatrical release worldwide, the same weekend BAND BAAJA BAARAAT released.
