Having studied the viewership pattern of each of its immensely popular shows over the past eight weeks, YRF TV, in conjunction with Sony Entertainment Television, has implemented some changes in the scheduling of these shows. This change was deemed important so as to ensure each show was placed in the best possible time slot with respect to its target audience, creating an even riper opportunity to maximize viewership potential, especially during the Indian Premier League 2010 starting on 12th March.
Rishta.com and Powder have been re-slotted to Wednesday and Thursday respectively at the 11PM slot. In the last few months, this 11PM weeknight slot has been carefully nurtured and developed and today has a sizable viewership base in place – a natural extension of the traditional prime-time band. Mahi Way will now air at Friday 8PM, in an effort to further build its large base of young female viewers across urban India. Seven remains in its original slot at Friday 9PM – the show has been performing particularly well and the growth prospects within this slot are indeed bright as viewership traction continues to build.
Lift Kara De, hosted by Karan Johar, will now be aired as a single (but longer) weekly episode at the prime weekly slot of 8PM on Saturday evenings. This slot has already shown tremendous potential for the show in its first 8 weeks, and the attempt is to now build this slot even further by presenting a single power-packed edition of the show such that all components of its format commence and conclude within the journey of a single episode, providing greater and complete gratification for all its loyal viewers.
So starting 26 February 2010 you can catch the shows of YRF TV at these revised timings on Sony Entertainment Television:
Mahi Way – Friday 8PM
Seven – Friday 9PM (unchanged)
Lift Kara De – Saturday 8PM (single episode)
Rishta.com – Wednesday 11PM
Powder – Thursday 11PM
You can also catch a re-run of Mahi Way on Mondays at 11PM, and Seven on Tuesdays at 11PM.
