The CEO of Yash Raj Films, Mr. Sanjeev Kohli recently represented the Indian Film industry at the "Forum for International Business 2007" held at Schiffsbau, Zurich, Switzerland on 28th February 2007.
He made an important presentation on Bollywood and its economic and cultural impact on the world. Mr. Al Gore (Ex Vice President – USA) was also one of the distinguished speakers at this international forum, among others.
Mr. Kohli’s presentation was a resounding success and was widely appreciated by the elite gathering of international dignitaries. The letter of appreciation received from the Consulate General of Switzerland is reproduced here.
Yash Raj Films and Switzerland share a special relationship for the past few years. Infact, the Swiss Government has honoured Yash Chopra for helping rediscover Switzerland and he was presented a special Award by screen goddess, Ursula Andress on behalf of the Swiss Government. A lake in Switzerland has been unofficially named ‘The Chopra Lake’ because of the way he has used it in films.
This conference not only played an important role in further strengthening the close ties between the two countries, but also aptly demonstrated the impact of the Indian Film Industry on the world.
