Released worldwide on 27th May 2005, “Bunty Aur Babli” have broken many box-office records to amass a total of US$ 8.50 million (Rs. 37 crores) worldwide till now. - India gross to date Rs. 26 crores and still stealing the Box Office 

- UK & USA combined, “Bunty aur Babli” has now grossed over US$ 1.8 million (Rs. 7.75 crores) and entered the UK charts at number 9 

- UAE has grossed over US$ 400,000 (Rs. 1.75 crores) 

- Their stories are being told the world over as they continue to smash the Rest of the World Box Office having grossedUS$ 400,000 (Rs. 1.75 crores)


04 June 2005: After the stupendous line up of hits in 2004 – Hum Tum, Dhoom and Veer-Zaara, Yash Raj Films begin 2005 with a bang... with their own production “Bunty Aur Babli”, directed by Shaad Ali Sahgal and produced by Aditya Chopra. 

Lyrics of Gulzar on the music of Shankar, Ehsaan & Loy, this one really does make for a ‘Cool Desi Musical’. 

Also starring Rani Mukerji, this is the first time together for the much-awaited father and son pairing of Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan. 




- Bunty & Babli, in their opening weekend, have reached No. 9 in the UK Top 10. 

- Released worldwide on 27th May 2005, with 30 sites in the UK, Bunty aur Babli have amassed £205,305 over their bank holiday rampage. 

- They continued with their antics in the USA & Canada over 42 sites by collecting another fist full of $435,000 in the first 4 days. 

- South Africa was also not spared by these two where they ran away with $25,168 over 6 sites. 

- Down Under in good ol Aussie land, Bunty aur Babli took $39,785 over 6 sites. 

- The Bunty aur Babli magic hits the Middle East from 1st June 2005, where the audiences and the local police are waiting anxiously for their arrival! 

- As the school half term begins, Bunty & Babli are expected to continue their hold-ups in the chart and prank their way to fame and fortune.
