Y-Films has become among the fastest growing channels on the Internet after the massive success of web series like Man’s World, Bang Baaja Baaraat and path breaking initiatives like the 6-Pack Band clocking over 20 million views in 100 days alone which redefined story-telling and production quality on digital. Now while everyone starts announcing web series, they’ve already upped the game by launching 6 short films for the web titled ‘Love Shots’ directed by Ankur Tewari.
While short films are a hugely popular format internationally, they’ve never had the focus or support in India – which is what Y-Films hopes to do. Love Shots is an anthology of 6 short films that will explore love in every form, shape, stage and size in life. It features an absolute never before coming together of some of the most exciting actors playing delightful characters including Nimrat Kaur & Tahir Raj Bhasin in The Road Trip rediscovering romance while fighting as only couples fight when they drive; Salim Merchant who makes his acting debut as a chef along with the supremely talented Tillotama Shome in Fired that explores what happens when someone in a relationship hits a rough patch; Saqib Saleem & Shweta Tripathi relive the innocence of first love in a city starved of privacy in Koi Dekh Lega inspired by a true story; legends Farida Jalal & Kulbhushan Kharbanda who show us how love can be ageless and maybe even shameless in Scandal Point; Rhea Chakraborty, Saba Azad & Mohit Marwah in The Big Date with 2 sisters sharing excitement over a Valentine’s Date when one struggles with autism and Swanand Kirkire along with 2 absolutely adorable kids in Textbookdiscovering love in a kendriya vidyalaya.
