Yash Raj Films' latest release
"VEER-ZAARA", directed by Yash Chopra, has got the prestigious recognition of being selected as one of the films to be screened at the
55th Berlin International Film Festival, in the "International Forum of New Cinema" section. The annual 10-day festival will be held between 10 to 20 February 2005 in Berlin, Germany.
Over the years the Berlin International Film Festival has cemented its status as a major European film festival and is easily as important as the other film festivals of Venice and Cannes. Unlike many other film festivals, the prestigious Berlinale has throughout most of its fifty-four year history provided interpretation for many of the films screened, as well as for a number of press conferences. Interpretation is also available for meetings of the international jury that meets to discuss which film is to win the coveted Golden Bear and to award a host of other prizes. The Golden and Silver Berlin bear and many honorary awards are one of the most sought-after awards internationally.
