Yash Raj Films moves into Fourth Gear. Traditionally we have made one film a year but from 2004 on, Yash Raj Films will produce 4 mainstream Hindi feature films every year. And add to that a promise that all our films will bear the stamp of a "Yash Raj Film". Each film will be a reflection of our beliefs… our convictions… an endeavour to add new dimensions to our dreams on celluloid.
2004 is also when Mr. Yash Chopra's most ambitious directorial project till date will see the light of day, 7 years after 'Dil to Pagal Hai' released to global success. This film titled Veer-Zaara stars Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, Rani Mukerji, with special appearances by Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini among others. It has music by the late Madan Mohan, one of Indian Cinema's most cherished composers. This Diwali, get ready to witness magic on the big screen, yet again…
2004 is also the year when one of our biggest dreams will come to life. Yash Raj Films’ own state-of-the-art, fully integrated Film Studio will begin operation this year. This one-of-its-kind Studio will house three shooting floors and will be the only complete soundproof and air-conditioned studio in India with the most advanced audio and video recording and post-production facilities. The corporate office and studio facilities will be a testimony of what our Company stands for. Just another step towards our dream of consolidating Yash Raj Films as the most complete Entertainment Conglomerate of India.
2004 is the year Yash Raj Films will flag off its first English language production made for mainstream global market. We are fortunate to have carved a niche for ourselves in Indian Cinema and being called the leading film production house of the country really humbles us. Our vision extends itself, from speaking to Indians all over the world, to reaching out to a global multi cultural audience. This is the year when we dream to fulfill this vision and take a step ahead.
In 2004 Yash Raj Films is entering the Music arena by launching its own music label - Yash Raj Music, with its own feature films beginning with 'Hum Tum', whose cassettes and CDs will be marketed and distributed through its overseas offices. In due course, the music label will be launched in India as a major contender in the music business.
2004 will also see Yash Raj Films strengthening its distribution presence across the country. With new offices opening in various cities, the aim is to reach out to every corner of India. The following are the distribution offices in operation, along with the territories/circuit they cater to mentioned alongside individually:
