Last week, the first short film from Y-Films, Yash Raj Films’ youth wing, titled ‘The Road Trip’ starring Nimrat Kaur & Tahir Raj Bhasin opened to phenomenal feedback and views. And on the back of it, releases the 2nd in the Love Shots anthology titled ‘Koi Dekh Lega’ featuring Saqib Saleem [Mere Dad Ki Maruti, Hawa Hawaai, Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge] & Shweta Tripathi [of Masaan fame]. Directed by Ankur Tewari, the film that’s based on a real life incident tells the story of a young couple trying to find some privacy at a bus stop in a crowded city and also features original music composed & perfomed by the Anand Bhaskar Collective.
Adds Saqib, “It was great to work with Y-films again. When I heard the story I was quite touched and it was something new… so I challenged myself to see if I could pull it off. Hope people like it.”
The music for Love Shots is exclusively available on Wynk music for a period of 3 days before its release. Needless to say, we at Anand Bhaskar Collective had a blast working with Ankur Tewari and the kind folk at Y-films and it was an amazing experience shooting the music video for our song. We are excited about the series and are proud that our song is associated with Love Shots and can't wait for the music to release!”
Love Shots is an anthology of 6 short films that explore love in every form, shape and stage in life. It features an absolute never before coming together of some of the most exciting actors playing delightful characters including Nimrat Kaur, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Salim Merchant, Tillotama Shome, Saqib Saleem, Shweta Tripathi, Farida Jalal, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Rhea Chakraborty, Saba Azad, Mohit Marwah, Swanand Kirkire, Shubham Tukaram, Shravani Desai among others. And the soundtrack features 6 original songs by some of the freshest upcoming musicians of today showcasing a range of genres. The 6 music videos will be attached to each individual short film and have been directed by Shraddha Pasi Jairath.
The 6 short films and their music videos will premiere every week from March 8th exclusively on YouTube.com/Yfilms.
